It is made from virgin LLDPE with an even, non-fading blue pigment and a toughening additive, giving stretch comparable to clear film with the added benefit of clear visual identification. The roll weighs 2.1 kg (1.8 kg of film on a 0.3 kg core), 500 mm wide and 17 microns thick, made to ISO 9001:2008.

Why is blue film more expensive than clear?
The premium blue pigment and toughening additive raise production cost. The identification and durability benefits offset this, with fast payback in large warehouses.
Is 17 microns thick enough?
Yes. 17 microns is the standard hand-grade gauge, and the toughening additive gives strength equal to or above clear 17-micron film. Three to five layers is enough for typical goods.
Can the thickness be customised?
Yes. ICD supports 12 to 20 microns on request, thicker for heavy goods or thinner to save material.
Does the colour fade over time?
No. The premium blue pigment holds its colour even after months in storage or long transport, without fading or yellowing.
