Plastic container pallets are pallets paired with collar or mesh sidewalls that turn a flat base into an enclosed box for small, loose or fragile goods. The collar folds flat when empty and clips onto the pallet base when in use, so one unit serves as both pallet and container. Choose container pallets when:
- Small or loose items that need containment: sidewalls keep parts, components and bagged goods from spilling.
- Fragile or high-value goods: the enclosure protects against knocks during handling.
- Mixed pallet-and-box duty: one collapsible unit replaces a separate pallet plus crate.

2. Collar vs fixed box – choosing the enclosure
There are two ways to enclose a pallet load. A folding collar is a separate hinged wall that clips onto a standard pallet and folds flat when empty – it is the flexible choice because the same base can be used open or boxed, and collars stack thin on the return leg. A fixed mesh box is moulded as one piece, more rigid and faster to load, but it does not collapse, so empties take full volume back.
For two-way logistics where empties cycle back, the folding collar usually wins on return-transport cost. For a fixed in-plant loop where the box never leaves the line, the rigid mesh box is faster to handle. Either way, stay within the 800 kg dynamic rating and do not stack loaded units beyond the 2,000 kg static figure.

1. What is the difference from a plastic crate?
A container pallet is a forkliftable pallet base with sidewalls for full unit loads; a plastic crate is a smaller hand-carried box for picking and internal transfer.
2. Does the collar fold for return?
Yes – the folding collar drops flat onto the base, so empties take little volume back. A fixed mesh box does not collapse.
3. What load can it carry?
800 kg dynamic and 2,000 kg static. Do not exceed the static rating when stacking loaded units.
4. Is it suitable for fragile goods?
