Printing industry plastic pallets are clean, dimensionally stable HDPE pallets built for stacks of paper, board and printed sheets that must stay flat, dry and contamination-free. ICD moulds them in virgin HDPE at 1100×1100 mm and 1200×1000 mm, with dynamic load 1,500 kg, static load 4,000 kg and a flat closed deck. Choose printing industry pallets when:
- Paper and board stacks must stay flat: a rigid, flat deck prevents the bottom sheets curling or denting.
- No ink, dust or splinters allowed: a sealed plastic surface keeps printed stock clean – no wood splinters or nail snags.
- Damp or air-conditioned print halls: HDPE will not absorb moisture and transfer it into hygroscopic paper.

2. Why print shops move off wood pallets
Paper and board are unforgiving cargo. Three wood-pallet problems hit the printing line directly:
Moisture transfer: wood absorbs humidity and releases it into the bottom sheets, causing wavy edges and registration drift on press. HDPE absorbs none, so the stack stays dimensionally stable.
Surface marks: splinters, protruding nails and ink residue on a reused wood pallet stain or tear the bottom sheets. A sealed plastic deck has none of these.
Flatness: a warped wood deck dents and curls the lowest sheets; a rigid plastic deck spreads the load evenly. For very heavy reels or automated lines that also need tolerance, step up to steel-core pallets. Plastic pallets can also be moulded in a house colour or with a printed logo for closed-loop pooling.

1. Why not just use wood for paper stacks?
Wood transfers moisture, sheds splinters and warps – all of which damage or distort printed stock. HDPE stays dry, clean and flat.
2. What load do printing pallets carry?
1,500 kg dynamic and 4,000 kg static, enough for full board and paper stacks.
3. Can pallets carry our logo or a house colour?

4. Are they suitable for air-conditioned print halls?
Yes – HDPE will not absorb humidity, so it suits climate-controlled paper storage.
