Plastic container pallets, also called plastic pallet boxes, combine a pallet base, surrounding walls and a lid into one unit that holds parts or loose goods and goes straight into a shipping container by forklift. 1. Two models and how many fit in each shipping container
The counts below use common inner dimensions: a 20 ft standard container is 5,900 mm long and 2,352 mm wide, a 40 ft standard is 12,032 mm long, and a 40 ft high cube is 2,350 mm wide. Door height is 2,292 mm on standard units and 2,597 mm on high cubes. Assumptions: boxes run in two lengthwise rows with at least 50 mm spare per row, and a stack must clear the door by 100 mm.

With zero clearance, a 20 ft container takes 8 positions of ICD-1470-990 instead of 6, and a 40 ft takes 22 positions of the 1200×1000 mm box instead of 20. 2. Choosing between the two models
ICD-1470-990 is rated for 1,000 kg dynamic and 2,500 kg static load, comes in grey or blue, and is made of HDPE or PP. Two boxes side by side measure 2,280 mm, which fits the container width. Its product page lists loose components, food ingredients and recycled materials as typical loads.
ICD-1210-760 is the lower box on the common 1200×1000 mm footprint. At 760 mm high it is the only one of the two that stacks 3 tiers in a 40 ft high cube, giving 60 boxes per container. Its load rating is not published, so ICD confirms it with each quote.
3. Returnable loops and when a flat pallet is enough
Base, walls and lid are all plastic, so ISPM 15, which covers wood packaging material, does not apply. For carton freight that travels one way with no return, a flat pallet costs far less: see lightweight one-way export plastic pallets.

1. Can a hand pallet truck move a filled box?
The ICD-1470-990 product page gives its 1,000 kg dynamic rating for moving by forklift or pallet truck. For the ICD-1210-760, send the truck model so ICD can check the base clearance.
2. Can the boxes be washed and reused?
Yes. The ICD-1210-760 product page describes both HDPE and PP as durable, washable plastics, and both models are built for repeated use.
3. Can a plastic pallet box hold oil or chemicals?
These boxes are listed for parts and loose goods, with no rating for liquids. Drums and chemical cans belong on spill containment pallets with a sump.
4. Can a pallet box replace cartons on a pallet?
The ICD-1210-760 product page lists replacing loose cartons with one reusable bulk box, and the ICD-1470-990 page lists returnable container pooling between supplier and customer sites.
