The Xilin wide-fork pallet jack carries 2 tonnes on 1120 x 685 mm forks - 135 mm wider than a standard 550 mm fork. That extra width is the point: it distributes load across oversized pallets, IBC tote bases, and wide coil or pipe loads that a standard jack would only partially support. ICD Vietnam distributes Xilin (Ningbo Ruyi) wide-fork pallet jacks with a 2-year manufacturer warranty and stock in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

When do you need 685 mm wide forks instead of standard 550 mm?
Most pallet jack guides say only “wide forks are for wide pallets” without explaining the specific cases. The four situations where 685 mm forks are required are:
- Square or elongated pallets: 1200 x 1200 mm or 1300 x 1100 mm. Standard 550 mm forks contact only 2 of the 3 deck boards, leaving the pallet unsupported at the edges. Wide forks span all three contact points.
- Euro pallet 1200 x 800 mm loaded in landscape orientation. When the 1200 mm side faces the forks, 550 mm forks do not reach across. At 685 mm they clear the entry blocks correctly.
- Un-palletised coil or pipe loads with diameter over 600 mm. Wide forks can be spread to cradle the load and prevent rolling during transport.
- IBC tote tanks 1000 L. The IBC base measures 1000 mm across. Wide forks grip the base frame squarely rather than at a narrow central point.
Trade-offs of wide forks (what most suppliers do not mention)
| Factor | Wide fork 685 mm | Standard fork 550 mm |
|---|---|---|
| Stability on wide/square pallets | Better - full base contact | Partial contact only |
| Load distribution | Even across 3 deck boards | Concentrated on 2 boards |
| Price premium | 15-20% higher | Baseline price |
| Jack weight (empty) | 12-15 kg heavier - more effort to push unladen | Lighter to manoeuvre |
| Minimum aisle for turning | Over 2,200 mm | Approx. 1,800 mm |
| Compatibility with 1000 x 1200 mm / 800 mm 3-slot pallet | Forks too wide for the two-slot entry | Fits correctly |
Before ordering, measure the narrowest aisle in the warehouse. Wide-fork models need over 2,200 mm of turning radius. If aisles are under 2,000 mm and loads are standard-size pallets, a standard fork jack is more practical.
Why Xilin wide-fork pallet jacks
- 2-year manufacturer warranty on all hydraulic and structural components.
- Fully imported, new 100% - not assembled from mixed-origin parts.
- Smooth hydraulic lift - piston seal rated for repeated daily cycles without leaking.
- 75 mm minimum lowered height - enters standard Vietnamese pallet entry (80-100 mm clearance) without modification.
- Ningbo Ruyi production line - ISO 3691-1 certified, same factory supplying the Xilin-brand equipment exported to Europe and Southeast Asia.

Frequently asked questions about the Xilin 2-ton wide-fork pallet jack
1. What is the outer fork width of this model?
685 mm outer-to-outer. The inner gap between the two forks is approximately 200 mm, allowing entry into standard pallet openings of 220 mm and above.
2. Can it handle a standard 1100 x 1100 mm plastic pallet?
Yes. The 685 mm forks enter the two slots of a standard 1100 x 1100 mm pallet correctly. The wider contact base also improves stability for square pallets compared to a 550 mm fork.
3. What is the minimum aisle width for turning?
Over 2,200 mm. If your warehouse aisle is under 2,000 mm, check the turning radius carefully before ordering. A standard 550 mm fork model turns within approximately 1,800 mm.
4. Is the 2-ton capacity a dynamic or static rating?
2,000 kg is the rated dynamic capacity at the standard 600 mm load centre. For loads where the centre of gravity is further forward than 600 mm (for example, long coil stock), the effective capacity is lower - contact ICD for the derating table.
5. How long is the warranty and what does it cover?
2 years from delivery date, covering hydraulic cylinder, piston seal, load wheels, and steering wheels under normal warehouse use. Damage from overloading or dropped impact is excluded.
6. Is this unit in stock in Vietnam?
Yes. ICD Vietnam holds stock in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Standard delivery is 1-3 working days within city limits; provincial freight is arranged through ICD’s logistics partners.
7. Does this model require periodic inspection under Vietnamese regulations?
Manual hydraulic pallet jacks with capacity under 5 tonnes are not in the list of lifting equipment requiring mandatory periodic inspection under Circular 36/2019/TT-BLDTBXH Appendix II. No third-party inspection certificate is needed for daily operation.
