2. Kraft paper or woven PP dunnage bags
The kraft paper air dunnage bag has a PP-coated paper shell, a PA/PE bladder and a fast-inflate valve; the rough paper grips the cargo, which suits light and medium loads. The woven PP air dunnage bag resists tearing on sharp edges and does not absorb water, so it suits paper rolls, steel sheets and chemical drums; common sizes are 80×120, 90×150, 100×180 and 120×220 cm. 3. Choosing kraft bag sizes by gap width
The size printed on a bag is its flat size; inflation rounds the bag and makes it narrower. Each size fills a gap only up to the maximum in the table, and the bag length should match the height of the load.

A bag’s blocking capacity is roughly its burst pressure times the contact area, multiplied by 0.75 for single-use bags and 0.5 for reusable bags.
4. How to inflate dunnage bags
- Cover sharp edges and nails on both faces of the gap.
- Place the bag in the middle of the gap, at least 10 cm above the floor.
- Inflate until the bag is firm but still gives slightly when pressed.
- Screw the valve cap shut; when unloading, open the valve before pulling the bag out.

The ICD-AP20 carton air cushion is an LDPE/LLDPE film cushion inflated at the packing bench to fill the space around cosmetics, glass bottles or small electronics inside a box. ICD supplies 20×10, 20×20 and 30×40 cm pillows and a 40×25 cm chain, with 600 to 2,000 cushions per roll.

1. Are dunnage air bags reusable?
Yes, if they can still be reinflated safely: kraft bags 1-2 times on sea freight and 3-4 times on domestic trucking, woven PP bags 3-5 times. Discard bags with a torn shell or a leaking valve.
2. How much pressure can a dunnage bag take?
ICD kraft bags come in 4 grades with working pressure of 0.2-0.7 bar and burst pressure of 0.6-2.0 bar; higher grades suit paper rolls and steel coils. An under-inflated bag loosens in the cold, an over-inflated one can burst when the container heats up.
3. What do you use to inflate dunnage bags?
Container bags are inflated with a gun on a compressed-air line, about 20-40 seconds per kraft bag; carton cushions use a small electric pump at the packing bench. If the loading site has no compressed air, tell ICD to get advice on equipment.
4. How many dunnage bags does a container need?
It depends on the number of gaps, the width of each gap and the cargo weight on each side. Send ICD your loading plan with the gap widths to get bag sizes and quantities.
