Component trays are shallow PP/HDPE plastic trays for sorting screws, nuts and small parts at assembly benches and picking shelves. ICD lists one tray in this category, the A6 at 238 × 152 × 124 mm for 25,000 VND, in blue, green, yellow or red. Matching stacking feet fit the A6 and the larger A8, and ICD’s Vietnamese catalogue also lists the A5, A8 and A9 trays.
1. The A6 component tray: size, weight and price
The A6 component tray measures 238 × 152 × 124 mm outside and 218 × 126 × 118 mm inside, and weighs about 200 g (±5%). The inside is deep enough to stand tall parts such as relays and connectors.

The tray has a two-thirds bevelled front with a slot for a name card. Reaching in does not mean lifting the tray off the shelf, and the card tells the picker what is inside without opening anything. A closed body keeps dust out of small parts. Larger trays can be divided into compartments with optional dividers.
2. Stacking feet for tiered storage
When trays are stacked in tiers, stacking feet snap into the four corners of the tray base, with no screws or glue. They raise each tray off the one below, which prevents scuffing, lets air move through long-term storage and stops the tray sliding on a trolley. Feet come off when you prefer to store trays flat. The A6 and A8 share one foot design; the larger A9 uses its own.

3. Component trays, solid bins and ESD trays
Component trays suit small parts that are picked often. For parts that must be enclosed on all four sides, or are longer than the tray, use solid plastic bins, which come in larger sizes. Both groups belong to ICD’s range of plastic crates.
The A6 is ordinary plastic, and ICD does not publish a surface resistance for it, so it is not meant for bare circuit boards or static-sensitive semiconductors. Those need an ESD tray with a stated resistance range; the article on ESD antistatic plastic trays explains the classes. Multi-pocket thermoformed trays for SMD, DIP and IC parts are a different product and are not part of this category.

5. Frequently asked questions about trays
1. Can component trays carry a logo or a lid?
The A-series has both as options, quoted separately by logo and tray size.
2. Which tray suits long bolts and shafts?
The A6 is 218 mm long inside. Longer parts need the A8 (300 mm inside) or the A9 (420 mm); ask ICD for the English quote.
3. How much weight can an A6 tray carry?
The catalogue lists no weight limit for the A6. Send the part weight per tray and the number of tiers, and ICD will advise.
4. Can the A6 tray hold bare circuit boards?
Not safely: it is ordinary plastic with no published surface resistance. Ask ICD for an ESD tray.
