The ICD-DP-ESD is an anti-static Danpla box with internal dividers, made in Vietnam from black carbon-loaded PP sheet. It both shields components from electrostatic discharge and partitions them to stop different parts colliding inside one box. It is favoured in SMT plants, electronic component stores and industrial board-assembly lines, combining a dissipative 10^3-10^6 Ohm resistance with flexible removable dividers.

2. Applications & Key Advantages

  • SMT lines: storing and moving PCBs while keeping each board separated
  • Component stores: organising ICs, chips, diodes, capacitors and resistors in cells
  • Board-assembly lines: standardising storage and transport of ESD-sensitive parts
  • EPA (ESD Protected Area) zones: safe stacking and handling of conductive trays and boxes
  • Black ESD PP Danpla body with 10^3-10^6 Ohm surface resistance, meeting EN 61340-5-1:2016 and IEC 61340-4-3:2018
  • Dividers in the same ESD material, either fixed to the walls or removable and interlocking
  • Grid, lengthwise or crosswise divider layouts to suit the component arrangement
  • Divider cell sizes of 20 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm or 100 mm on request, with cell height set 5-10 mm below the box wall for easy picking
  • Conductive ESD base sheet that forms a flat dissipative surface under the components
  • Made to order with a 5-7 working day lead time after sample approval

4. Frequently Asked Questions

What surface resistance does the box provide?

The box uses conductive-carbon black PP with a dissipative surface resistance of 10^3 to 10^6 Ohm, meeting EN 61340-5-1:2016 and IEC 61340-4-3:2018.

What divider cell sizes are available?

Standard cell sizes are 20 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm and 100 mm, with custom layouts available. SMT and PCB work often uses small 20-30 mm cells across many compartments.

Are the dividers fixed or removable?

Both options exist. Dividers can be fixed by gluing or stapling to the walls, or made removable and interlocking so the layout can be reconfigured.

What is the minimum order quantity and lead time?

The MOQ is 50-100 boxes per size, with production taking 5-7 working days after sample approval.

Why use conductive carbon rather than an anti-static coating?

Conductive carbon lets static drain away rather than building up on the surface or components, and because it is part of the material it does not wear off like a surface coating.
