In October 2026 the market price of a Danpla plastic box runs from about 12,000 to 18,000 VND for a small 25 x 15 x 10 cm box, 24,000 to 38,000 VND for a 40 x 30 x 20 cm box and 62,000 to 95,000 VND for a 60 x 40 x 40 cm box; boxes with a lid cost roughly 90,000 to 145,000 VND, and ESD boxes start from 130,000 VND. The price of each box depends on size, sheet thickness, style (standard, lidded, folding, ESD), quantity and printing.
These figures are a range compiled from public price lists of several workshops and sellers (read on 19 October 2026, before VAT); they are not ICD Vietnam’s selling prices. ICD quotes according to the drawing, the quantity and the sheet type of each order.

Market price by box type
The table below combines the listed price ranges of several sellers for each box type. Sizes come from their own price lists, so compare only within the same row; two rows with different sizes should not be compared with each other.
| Box type | Size stated in the price list | Price range per box (before VAT) |
|---|---|---|
| Standard box, small | 25 x 15 x 10 cm | 12,000 to 18,000 VND |
| Standard box, medium | 40 x 30 x 20 cm | 24,000 to 38,000 VND |
| Standard box, large | 60 x 40 x 40 cm | 62,000 to 95,000 VND |
| Box with plastic lid or folding lid | 60 x 45 x 30 cm (4 mm) | about 92,000 to 145,000 VND |
| Fabric-lid box | about 59 x 47 x 31 cm (4 mm) | about 100,000 to 200,000 VND |
| Collapsible box | 40 x 40 x 30 to 60 x 40 x 40 cm (4 mm) | about 109,000 to 129,000 VND |
| ESD anti-static box | depends on design | from about 130,000 VND |
Two points stand out. Box price does not rise linearly with volume: a 60 x 40 x 40 cm box has four times the volume of a 40 x 30 x 20 cm box, but its listed price is only about two to two and a half times higher, because cutting, folding and bonding carry fixed costs. And a lidded or ESD box usually costs more than a standard box by more than the difference in material, because of the added processing and extra parts such as fabric lids and corner strips.

What decides the price of a box
Size and thickness go together: the larger the box, the more sheet it uses, and a 4 or 5 mm sheet is stiffer than a 2 or 3 mm sheet and so costs more. For sheet prices by thickness and g/m², see the article on Danpla sheet prices; ask for a quotation that states both thickness and g/m², because two sheets of the same thickness can differ in grammage (Corplast and Americover give a tolerance of about ±5%). Style is the second factor: folding boxes, lidded boxes, fabric lids, dividers or corner strips all add labour and materials. For anti-static boxes, the extra cost is the additive in the resin and the resistance testing; ask the supplier whether the sheet is in the conductive or dissipative group and whether a test report is issued for the actual batch (ESD Association). Quantity and printing are the last two factors: ordering more lowers the price per box, but the size of the discount is each supplier’s decision. For ICD, the page on Danpla plastic boxes of all types states a minimum order of 50 boxes for standard boxes and 100 boxes for folding boxes or boxes with dividers.
Different boxes serve different purposes: carton-style folding boxes for supply chains that must fold the box flat on the return trip, ESD boxes with dividers for electronic components, and Danpla trays for farm produce and retail. For the catalogue of sheets and boxes, see ICD Danpla plastic.
Count by number of uses, not by purchase price
Danpla boxes are usually bought for reuse, so against a single-use carton they should be compared by cost per use. Packaging life-cycle studies show that the break-even point lies in the number of uses, not in the purchase price: an analysis by Tampere University and FEFCO compares reusable plastic crates with single-use cartons, and Reloop and Zero Waste Europe review several studies showing that reusable packaging pays off only when it is actually recovered and recirculated. The exact figure depends on the box type, the distance and the recovery rate, so no fixed “50 to 100 uses” is given here; count the real number of uses in your own supply chain and divide the box price by that number. A box that is too thin for the load, or knocked about a lot, will fail early and spoil the calculation.
Choosing and checking on delivery
A short process: measure the goods and add a clearance of 1 to 2 cm, choose the box type by how it will be used (fixed, folding, lidded, ESD), estimate how many boxes you need each year, request quotes for the same configuration from several suppliers and order a few sample boxes before a large order. On delivery, check flatness, clean cut edges, fold lines that are not torn, the actual dimensions and, for ESD boxes, the resistance readings. Choosing a sheet too thick for light goods raises the price without need; to find the right thickness for your load, order a trial box and load it with the real goods before ordering in volume.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Danpla plastic box cost per box?
In October 2026, a 40 x 30 x 20 cm box is typically listed at 24,000 to 38,000 VND and a 60 x 40 x 40 cm box at about 62,000 to 95,000 VND, before VAT. ICD’s price depends on size, thickness and quantity, so request a quote.
Why do boxes of the same size differ in price?
Because of the sheet thickness and g/m², the style (lid, dividers, folding), ESD additives and printing. When comparing quotes, ask for the same configuration.
How many times can a Danpla box be used?
There is no general figure because it depends on thickness, load, stacking and impacts. Track the real number of uses in your own supply chain and compare it with the box price.
What is the minimum order at ICD?
ICD’s product page states 50 boxes for standard boxes and 100 boxes for folding boxes or boxes with dividers. Other terms (logo printing, delivery) should be asked about when you send a quote request.
