Lift Tables

Author: Le Van Thang, CEO of ICD Vietnam – specifying lift tables for production lines.

A hydraulic lift table raises a load to a comfortable working height on a flat platform, instead of lifting it on forks – ideal for assembly lines, packing stations, loading bays and workshops where pallets are not used. ICD distributes Xilin scissor lift tables at 500-2,000 kg in manual foot-pump and electric versions, raising loads up to about 1.5 m. Built from welded steel with a hard-chrome cylinder, genuine 2-year warranty. Part of the forklift and handling range; for pallet moves see hand pallet trucks.

Choose a hydraulic lift table when:

  • Ergonomic working height: raise parts to waist level so staff stop bending – cutting back strain and speeding assembly.
  • Non-pallet loads: lift machines, crates or loose items that forks cannot handle safely.
  • Loading-bay height matching: bridge the gap between floor and truck-bed level.

2. Foot-pump or electric – and why a lift table beats a stacker here

Two questions settle the choice. Foot pump or electric? A foot-pump table is cheaper, needs no power and suits occasional lifts at a single station. An electric table earns its premium when the platform cycles up and down many times a shift – on an assembly line or a high-throughput packing bay – where pumping by foot would slow the operator and tire them. As a rule, under about 30 cycles a day, foot pump; above that, electric.

Why a lift table rather than a stacker? A high-lift stacker is built to put a pallet onto racking; a lift table is built to hold a load steady at working height on a full platform. For loose parts, machines, or anything not on a pallet – and for ergonomic assembly where staff work on the load itself – the flat, stable platform is safer and far more productive than balancing goods on forks. Match the platform size to your largest workpiece and the stroke to the working height your team needs; oversizing the platform wastes floor space, undersizing it makes large parts overhang and tip.

3. Frequently asked questions

1. Foot pump or electric?

Foot pump for occasional single-station lifts; electric for assembly lines or packing bays that cycle many times a shift. Roughly: under 30 cycles a day, foot pump.

2. Lift table or high-lift stacker?

A stacker puts pallets on racking; a lift table holds non-pallet loads steady at working height on a flat platform – better for assembly and loose items.

3. What capacity and height do I need?

500-1,000 kg for light assembly; 1,000-2,000 kg for heavy parts and loading bays. Match the stroke to your working height and the platform to your largest workpiece.

4. What warranty applies?

A genuine 2-year Xilin warranty with cylinders and seals stocked in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
