The AbsorGel Pouch-X is a large calcium chloride desiccant packet in 100 g and 125 g sizes with an HDPE casing, used for cartons, crates and containers, absorbing over 300% of its weight in real conditions. The packet measures 145 x 145 mm and is packed 94 or 100 per box. It suits large cartons, crates and places that need one high-capacity packet instead of many small ones.

When to choose the Pouch-X

The Pouch-X has the largest capacity in the AbsorGel packet group, packed industrially at 94 to 100 packets per box. Use it when the carton or crate volume is large, when you want to reduce the number of packets to place, or when you need one concentrated absorption point in a large carton or crate. Small cartons should move to the Pouch-D, and medium cartons use the Pouch-S.

Installation and dosing

Remove the sealed plastic wrap and place the packet in the carton or crate right before closing. Place it above the goods or in a corner of the carton. The box has a QR code linking to an instruction video.

The manufacturer does not publish a fixed dosing table for packets inside cartons because the amount needed depends on transit time, climate, the volume of air in the carton, the type of packaging and the type of goods. Send ICD the carton size, the type of goods and the shipping route to calculate the right number of packets.

Safety

Calcium chloride causes serious eye irritation (H319, under GHS). Keep the packet intact and away from children. For information on accidental swallowing and what to do: what happens if you swallow a desiccant packet.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes does the Pouch-X come in?

Two sizes: 100 g and 125 g, with the same 145 x 145 mm packet size.

Where is the Pouch-X made?

According to the Absortech datasheet, the Pouch-X originates in Sweden, whereas the Pouch-S and Pouch-D originate in China.

How does the Pouch-X differ from the Pouch-S 100 g and 125 g?

Same nominal capacity, different packet design and specification: the Pouch-X absorbs over 300% of its weight in real conditions, the Pouch-S over 250%. ICD advises the details by application.

Can the Pouch-X be used in a container instead of a hanging bag?

For containers, use the Hanging-C hanging bag or the Blanket-C blanket because they have installation accessories. The Pouch-X suits cartons, crates and places that need one large packet.
