A three-runner plastic pallet has three continuous runners along its base instead of nine separate feet. ICD Vietnam’s English catalogue lists four three-runner models, in 1100×1100, 1200×800, 1200×1200 and 1400×1400 mm, 150-170 mm high, priced from 385,000 VND to 1,450,000 VND each.
Across the four models, dynamic load runs from 800 kg to 1,500 kg and static load from 2,000 kg to 5,000 kg. ICD’s full three-runner line in Vietnam has 48 models in 11 sizes, so ask if the size you need is not listed here. 1. How the three runners work on floors and racking
The runners lie parallel, two along the edges and one down the middle, and divide the underside into two channels for forks. Instead of resting on nine separate blocks, the pallet bears on three continuous strips running its full length. Models rated for four-way forklift entry have openings cut through the runners so that forks can pass in from the sides, as on the underside below.

On selective racking the pallet is held only at its two ends by the beams, and the middle spans free. The figure to check there is the racking load, not the static load. Two of the four models publish a racking load, both 1,000 kg: ICD-PLK-121216-BK (1200×1200×160 mm) and ICD-PLK-141417-3C (1400×1400×170 mm). ICD has not published a racking load for ICD-PL111115-3B or ICD-PLK-1208155-3C, so send your load weight and beam spacing before racking them. The guide to racking load and when a plastic pallet needs a steel core explains how to read these ratings.
2. Two-way or four-way entry: check each model
Entry depends on the model, so it cannot be assumed for every three-runner pallet. ICD publishes entry data for two of the four models, and both take forklifts from all four sides and high-lift hand pallet trucks from two sides. They differ on the low hand pallet truck: ICD-PLK-141417-3C accepts it from four sides, while ICD-PLK-121216-BK takes it from the two ends only, along the channels between the runners. Entry for ICD-PL111115-3B and ICD-PLK-1208155-3C is not published, so confirm it with ICD before ordering if pallet jacks must come in from the side.
| Model | Size (mm) | Dynamic / static load | Racking load | Low hand pallet truck | Price (VND) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ICD-PL111115-3B | 1100×1100×150 | 1,000 / 3,000 kg | Not published | Not published | 385,000 |
| ICD-PLK-1208155-3C | 1200×800×155 | 800 / 2,000 kg | Not published | Not published | 465,000 |
| ICD-PLK-121216-BK | 1200×1200×160 | 1,000 / 4,000 kg | 1,000 kg | 2-way, ends only | 450,000 |
| ICD-PLK-141417-3C | 1400×1400×170 | 1,500 / 5,000 kg | 1,000 kg | 4-way | 1,450,000 |
If hand pallet trucks must reach the pallet from every side, a base of separate feet with no bottom boards may suit better. The article on how a column-base pallet takes forks from four sides sets out the trade-offs, including the narrower short side.
3. Choosing size, load and deck
Dynamic load is the weight the pallet carries while a forklift or hand pallet truck moves it; static load is what it carries resting on a flat floor. If the loaded pallet will be moved, the dynamic figure is the limit to work to. The smallest model, ICD-PLK-1208155-3C at 1200×800×155 mm, weighs 10 kg and is rated 800 kg dynamic. ICD-PL111115-3B and ICD-PLK-121216-BK carry 1,000 kg dynamic, with 3,000 kg and 4,000 kg static respectively, while ICD-PLK-141417-3C reaches 1,500 kg dynamic and 5,000 kg static on a 1400×1400 mm footprint.
ICD-PLK-141417-3C and ICD-PLK-1208155-3C are moulded in virgin HDPE, ICD-PLK-121216-BK in PPC/HDPE, and ICD-PL111115-3B in black HDPE. All four have open grid decks and also appear among ICD’s open-deck plastic pallets with grid tops, where water drains through the deck instead of pooling on top.

5. Frequently asked questions about three-runner plastic pallets
1. What is the difference between a 3 runner pallet and a 9 block pallet?
A three-runner pallet rests on three continuous runners. A nine-block pallet with no bottom boards rests on nine separate feet, so empty pallets of that type can nest into each other and hand pallet trucks can enter from four sides, though the short side is usually narrower.
2. How much floor space does a three-runner pallet take?
One pallet covers 0.96 m² at 1200×800 mm, 1.21 m² at 1100×1100 mm, 1.44 m² at 1200×1200 mm and 1.96 m² at 1400×1400 mm, so a layer of 100 pallets needs about 96 to 196 m² of floor.
3. Which colours are available?
ICD-PL111115-3B comes in black, ICD-PLK-121216-BK in grey or blue and ICD-PLK-1208155-3C in blue or red. Confirm the colour of ICD-PLK-141417-3C when ordering.
4. Can you print our logo on three-runner pallets?
Yes. All four product pages list logo and company-name printing as an option.
