The black ICD-PC1008-BK nestable pallet is the lighter of the two at about 5.5 kg, rated 500 kg dynamic and 1,000 kg static. For a longer base, the blue ICD-PL-0812-C on a 1200×800 mm footprint weighs about 6.5 kg; its product page lists two different load ratings, so ask ICD to confirm the load before ordering.

2. Where a nestable pallet earns its place
The strongest case is a closed loop: goods go out to a distribution point and the empty pallets come back. Because empties nest, the return trip and the empty-pallet corner of the warehouse need less space than with flat-stacked pallets.
Light loads moved by pallet truck or forklift are the second fit. ICD lists the ICD-PC1008-BK for lighter goods, retail and display logistics, and one-way export shipments where an economical pallet matters more than a high rating.
3. When to choose another pallet type
A 500 kg dynamic rating rules out heavy unit loads on the move. If loads are heavier or the pallets must sit on beam racking, three-runner plastic pallets are the next range to compare. 1. Are these nestable pallets rackable?
No racking load is listed for ICD-PL-0812-C, so do not place it on beam racking without confirmation. A rackable pallet is one with a published racking load; the guide on plastic pallets for racking systems explains how to read that figure.
2. Is fumigation required when nestable pallets are exported?
No. The scope of ISPM 15 is packaging made of raw wood, dunnage included; a plastic pallet sits outside that scope, so no heat treatment or IPPC mark is required. Check any extra requirement of the importing country with your forwarder.
3. Is there a 48×40 nestable pallet?
48×40 inches is about 1219×1016 mm. The two models in this range are 1000×800 mm and 1200×800 mm, so for a footprint close to 48×40, ask ICD which 1200×1000 mm nestable models are available.
4. Are nestable pallets suitable for cold rooms?
ICD has not published a working temperature range for these models. Give ICD the actual storage temperature before ordering so the right material can be confirmed.
5. What warranty do ICD plastic pallets carry?
The warranty period for ICD’s plastic pallet lines is two years, counted from the purchase date.
